Bank of Rantoul has been serving Rantoul and its surrounding communities since 1920. Originally chartered as Fowler State Bank, the institution changed ownership and name in 1960. To this day, Bank of Rantoul continues to be locally owned and managed. In 1999, Bank of Rantoul's holding company, Bancorp of Rantoul, Inc., acquired and merged The First National Bank of Rossville with Bank of Rantoul. Bank of Rantoul's banking center at Rossville, known as Bank of Rossville, continues to be managed by its local staff.
